Sweepstakes volume across 14 tier-2 markets
A sweepstakes network needed cheap, clean volume at scale. Source-level discipline and tight caps kept cost per lead down without flooding complaints.
Client: Sweepstakes network (confidential)
The challenge
The offer was available in fourteen markets, each with different payout floors and quality expectations. Previous buys produced volume but also a rising complaint rate and a blacklist full of mystery sub-IDs.
The approach
We launched popunder and direct click in every market, exposed sub-ID data from day one, and cut any source with a lead-to-complaint ratio above threshold. Frequency caps were tightened in the markets with the highest complaints. Budget followed the three GEOs with the best payout efficiency, and the rest were kept as small always-on tests.
What we would do differently
No campaign is perfect. In this account we would start source-level cuts one week earlier and ship local-language creative for the second-largest GEO before scaling spend. Both would have shortened the path to the target cost per event.
They treated complaints as a campaign metric, not a support problem. That is rare.
Let’s build your version of this.
We will map the offer to the formats and sources most likely to produce your target event.
